A genuine motorcycle with top-quality components which are easy to control and whose engine is distinguished by a steady power delivery. The automatic clutch is a great feature for young novice riders. Features May Include: POWER REDUCTION KIT For absolute beginners, engine power can be reduced to a moderate 5.5 hp using a kit from the KTM PowerParts range. CLUTCH Developed by KTM, the centrifugal multi-disc automatic clutch provides easily manageable acceleration and makes riding the motorcycle easy. It can be adjusted to the special requirements of the track and the rider without special tools. COOLING SYSTEM Like the big bikes, the 50 SX has a liquid cooling system which even cools the crankcase. Generously-sized radiators ensure outstanding heat dissipation for high reliability even in extreme conditions. ENGINE The modern, extremely compact, 2-stroke engine sets the standard in its class with great, manageable power. Thanks to the 3-shaft design, the crankshaft is close to the bikes center of gravity. This does not just benefit the handling but also allows for a flow-optimized intake angle into the reed valve - a prerequisite for maximum performance. BRAKES Front and rear disc brakes by Formula ensure the best deceleration. In order to optimize performance, the rear brake disc was enlarged for 2014. WHEELS Like the big KTM factory racers, the 50 SX has super lightweight, black anodized aluminum rims. A newly-designed rear wheel hub guarantees that even the longest jumps are easily absorbed. The OEM knobby Pirelli Scorpion tires grip superbly on any surface. WATER COOLING The KTM 50 SXs liquid-cooling system, with two large radiators and additional cooling for the crankcase, prevents engine overheating under the most extreme loads. WP/CHASSIS A top-quality upside down front fork by WP Suspension with 35mm tube diameter and 205mm of travel ensures outstanding directional stability. On the rear wheel, a WP monoshock linked directly to the swingarm also provides 185mm of suspension travel. ADJUSTABLE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION Developed by KTM, the centrifugal multi-disc automatic clutch provides manageable acceleration and makes riding the motorcycle easy. SUSPENSION Both the rear shock absorber and the 35mm upside down fork from WP Suspension guarantee ultimate damping and responsiveness.
