2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 CUSTOM, For sale XL1200C Sportster. This bike is as close to a "barn find" as I personally have ever seen! There is good and some bad about this, so start with the good. This 1200 has ONLY 908 original miles on it! It has been brought back to life by H-D and runs like a top. The battery has been replaced with a genuine H-D, had a 1K service performed, and a complete carb overhaul. It has new chrome forks sliders installed and new fork fluid. The paint is almost perfect. It has 2 minor scratches on the lower right side/top of the tank. It has 2 minor scratches back by the seat screw where sombody got a hair careless with the screwdriver. both are very minor. This low mile example runs great and looks pretty darn good. Now the bad. Where it was stored caused some corrosion issues with the chrome engine covers, handlebar covers and some minor pitting on other parts. That is also why it got new fork sliders. The corrosion is not that visible from a distance, but it is there. I was going to put some cheap chrome covers over the problem areas, but decided the buyer should make that decision. It is not a perfect machine, but what 11 year old bike is. But mechanically it is LIKE NEW and the low miles speak for itself. $4,995.00
