2006 Ducati Superbike 999. This bike has been pampered by a 65 year old ex-navy pilot/college prof who has ridden bikes for 48 years: always kept inside, oil changes every 800-1300 miles (Motul 300v). It has invisi-bra on the nose fairing, tank, lower fairing and all leading edges--it has NO chips or scratches anywhere; perfect in every way. Most think this is a new bike. This 2006 bi-posto (you can take a friend for a ride) has, from the factory, the same engine and horsepower as the S: same pistons, compression ratio, heads, valves, cams, sump system, etc., also the same tires and wheels. This has the full competition (look at the size of the header pipe in the pix) Termi exhaust, ecu, air filters. It has been dyno-tuned, cams degreed, etc.--139 hp to the ground. (One less than a 1098s.) It also has an up-graded version of the "S" suspension: Ohlins forks and an updated Ohlins TTX shock, both less than a year old. Heavy duty, slipper clutch--open clutch cover will also be included, Ducati Corse 38 tooth rear sprocket, carbon pieces. Has heli bars, Driven grips; very comfortable on long trips, and you can take a passenger. All service, including new belts, all fluid flush and valve adjustment, done at 6000 miles--all work done by the best Duc mechanic in Houston--Waylon M. Almost new tires. It is SUPER reliable--were usually at least 400 miles from the closest Duc dealer and never worry about it! Almost all of the miles have been on the open road. I trailer it back to the Midwest (home) and then start my trips: it has been to Glacier Park twice and was at Sturgis several times including this August, embarrassing the Harleys!
