The 2015 Ducati Diavel will be remembered as the "Version 2 Diavel" some day.Technical ImprovementsThe 2015 Diavel models feature dual-spark cylinder heads from the Multistrada 1200 with improved drive ability and smoother throttle response than earlier Diavels due to a secondary air system like the 1199 Panigale & Multistrada 1200. Smooth, manageable power, especially at lower RPM is combined with an increase in torque as well.In addition to the engine / fuel management improvements, the 2015 Diavel also has an all-new LED headlight and LED turn signals. While the 2011-2013 Diavel featured an TfT full color smart phone type instrument panel, the 2015 has been improved with a fuel gauge added to the gear indicator, traction control level indicator, ABS level indicator and engine HP mode indicator (tach & speedo too!!).Extended Service IntervalsMajor service intervals are now increased to 18,000 miles like the Monster 1200 and Hypermotard 821 models.Styling UpdatesThe 2015 Diavels have restyled exhaust and bodywork for a similar but fresh look. A new theme of modern and angular shapes gives a more aggressive and masculine look. New shorter mufflers "show" more of the impressive rear wheel and a new seat improves comfort while retaining a low height (30.3"). Ducati DesignThe 2015 Diavel is the evolution of a classic. The new Diavel improvements vs. the 2011-2013 models are typical Ducati upgrades over an existing model. As example, the 2007 Multistrada 1100S replaced the earlier Multistrada 1000DS in the same way. As have most Ducati Superbikes (916-996-998... 1098-1198). Improvements within the model range are one reason why Ducati is considered one of the leading motorcycle brands in design and number one in setting trends. Engineering excellence is why AUDI bought Ducati in 2012, after all. The 2011-2013 Diavel (Version 1) was the best Muscle Bike ever produced - until now. While the Yamaha VMax has lots of horsepower, it also weighs 100lbs more and feels heavy, and the HD VRod just doesnt handle, go or stop like the first version Diavel did. And the 2015 is now better than the first generation Diavel. Most of us here at Ducati Bellevue believe the Diavel has the highest quality "feel" of any performance bike built today... the 2015 will feel even richer.
